Proudly handmade in the USA, the Gateway Recessed Mailbox by Streetscape adds style and functionality to your lovely abode. Crafted from solid brass, each mailbox component is hand cut and spot welded for careful assembly. The door opens wide to receive incoming mail and magnetically snaps shut tight to protect your mail. It also features a natural brass finish that requires no maintenance.

Design
The Gateway Recessed Mailbox can be mounted onto a wall or column. The door features a solid brass or stainless steel continuous hinge and features a cable that prevents the door from opening too wide, as well as a magnetic closure.

Materials and Finish
All Streetscape mailboxes are intricately made from heavy gauge solid brass sheet and bar stock. The mailbox offers unique colors in banded segments. The finish has varying degrees of hues: red, brown, pink and yellow. The natural brass finish is designed to darken and dull with age, resulting in an even more classic appeal.

Options

Brass Numbers
Customized brass numbers are available to be spot welded to your Streetscape mailbox. These numbers are crafted from the same heavy gauge solid brass as the mailboxes and feature the same natural brass finish. Each mailbox can accommodate up to five numbers (welded to the door). Enter your street numbers in the personalization box to order the numbers during the checkout process.

Lock Kit
Lock kits are available to fit securely inside the mailbox. The narrow sized slot (1.75 in. high) makes way for your important mail to be dropped in and securely stored while providing a shelf for outgoing mail. Each lock kit comes complete with two keys. All Streetscape mailbox lock kits are made from heavy gauge solid brass sheet and bar stock, resulting in a durable product that will withstand years of wear and tear. High quality solid brass or stainless steel continuous hinges are used for the doors.

Streetscape Mailbox Posts - Design and Materials
All Streetscape Aluminum Mailbox Posts and Address Plaques are crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum tube and U.S. cast aluminum components. They are finished with high-grade exterior enamel paint in a Manila Tan color, a shade in between an off white and a light tan, which is compatible with any home color and style.
Streetscape Mailbox Posts are built to be surface mounted using included hardware. Each component is full seam bead welded to the post on top and bottom, providing a perfect match to Streetscape’s brass mailboxes. The cast aluminum address plaques are finished in a durable enamel paint to match the posts. The numbers are painted in a highly visible bronze color.

Made from heavy gauge solid brass sheet and bar stock, Streetscape brass mailboxes are handmade in Huntington Beach, California using only the highest quality workmanship. The Westchester Mailbox, for example, has over 150 individual spot welds and each component is hand cut. The care in craftsmanship results in a heavy, solid, refined feel that is unique to the market. The mailbox flags are straight with smoothe movements due to the process of insulating the mounting hardware with two nylon sleeves. The door uses a solid brass or stainless steel continuous hinge with uniform seams and a magnetic catch. Streetscape's brass products are truly pieces of art, each one with it's own individual character.

Polished Antique Patina (Pap) Finish
Streetscape offers a unique, proprietary brass finish that was discovered by accident using a blend of chemical and hand worked processes on brass. The PAP Finish is not uniform, nor is it intended to be. Each box is hand finished and will vary from one to the next depending on many factors including temperature, humidity, and variations in metal composition.
When new, the finish will have varying degrees of red and brown, with even some pink and yellow possible. As it ages, all of those colors will darken and dull, becoming more uniform with time. This is a natural brass finish, uncoated, and is designed to darken and dull with age.
The amount of patina, if any (blue/green highlights), will not increase over time even if exposed to salt air. Some styles, including most wall mount mailboxes, do not show any patina.

Brass Care:

• Natural brass finish requires no maintenance
• Periodic cleaning with a sponge and warm water, wiped dry with a non-abrasive towel will help to maintain the original sheen
• Finish can be polished as desired to maintain a higher sheen
• Suggested: Non-wax furniture polish (use of any abrasive material will damage the finish)

The interior of the brass mailboxes are wiped clean, but unfinished (raw yellow brass) and may have some residual streaks as a result of the finishing process.
